3" in & out 24 overall length which design would be more mellow on idle??? i have jet hot headers w/ 3" ORY cut out and cat back i wanted to cut the cat back off and run a single pipe to something like this a dump off that but still trying not to get to loud

The larger muffler will be the most quiet. It has more material to absorb the sound.
I have the smaller one. I put it in the I pipe to help with rasp after I installed my headers and o/r y. It did mellow the tone down at idle, but its not much quieter over 2k rpm. I have a feeling it would have been really loud if it was the only muffler I had.
