New engine!

New engine! I just installed my new engine and have a few little things to do before starting it..and just have a few questions.
I disconnected the whole engine harness when I pulled the motor and have a few wires left to connect...and just wondering about their locations.
1) The ground strap from the alternator....where does each end of this go?
2) Where does the positive from the battery go? Where does the negative go?
I have a plug on the back/top of the engine near a coil that has a purple weather pack on it...and don't know where it goes....any ideas?
