will a vette alternator fit on a 99 z-28?
i need to know this pretty soon!

Unfortunatly the Vette alternator is bigger and will not fit in the Camaro bracketry without switching to the Vette bracket, which then requires the the Vette power-steering pump,air conditioning compressor & dampner/pulley which are all approximately 3/4" in closer to the engine block for steering clearance on the Vettes. I have heard of bolting up the smaller Camaro alternator to the Vette bracket with some spacers. Hope this helps. Ed

Yup, what he said. I tried to do nearly the same thing and realized they are totally different sizes.
