Default How do you adjust the throttle cable?

I noticed after my intake swap that my cable seems a little loose. How much, if any slack should there be? Mine has about 1/2" up and down. Also, if that is too loose how the heck do you adjust it? It is a 2000 with cruise control. Thanks!

Go at the little box with the arrows pointing at it.

Un clip it, adjust and put the clip back in, hard to describe but pretty self explanatory once you get your hands on it.

I have ASR so that should work....I'll pop that thing off and tighten it up this weekend.

How tight should it be? Should there be any slack????

Just get it snug man, you don't want alot of play up and down "slack" but you don't want it so tight its keeping your TB open either.

If you can monitor it, just get it snug and make sure your TPS reads 0% with the car on but not running. There's no formal rule for where it should be as far as I've seen.

So installed a nitrous plate and now the throttle body sticks open a little bit and won’t go down. How do you adjust the cruise/throttle piece so it’ll go back down? I already released the black box by the manifold all the way and just need a half an inch
