What is the stock throttle body size from year to year?

Are they the same as the corvette?

I thought someone said that the throttle bodies are 75mm at the opening, but 71.5mm at the back of the throttle body.

I thought they were either 75mm or 78mm (can't remember which). The LS1/6 vettes are the same size as the LS1 F-bods...and all F-bod years are the same size too.

If anyone has a throttle body off the car, try to get a good ACCURATE measurement of the front and back of the throttle body. I am pretty sure it "necks down."

Just do a search on this site. Several guys have posted up step by step instructions on how to port. Really you just need a small sanding drum for your drill and various grit drums to put on there. I port the TB metal down with a coarse sanding drum and then follow up with a fine drum. Next I do 120 - 220 - 400 -600 all by hand to get it really smooth before I polish it with a buffing wheel. The polishing is pretty much just for looks as it doesn't really help airflow. If I didn't do any hand sanding it would only take me maybe an hour to port, TB half-shaft, and bump-stop mod all at once.
