Are you guys fabbing up your own own TD systems or purchasing them from somebody. I might be getting a new project and I'd like to go with TD for more of a intimidating sound.

You can do either. TSP offers a setup that's a little over 400 bucks, and it utilizes band clamps. I'm running it, but I modified it to run single chamber Flowmasters. I got mine cheaper due to the fact I purchased it without mufflers.

The other routes are to buy some mandrel bends of different angles, and fab up your own, or pay a shop to do it for you.

I love when a simple question has a curve ball thrown in it.

It was X or straight.
go H
arguing insues.

for X to non merge X is better hands down.

wow these topics are fun...

Let me break it down, yeat again for the 3rd time this week

H = Deep, Bassy, 70's muscle car tone. it also has more low end TQ.

X = Racy, heigh pitched, exotic racy sound. Good for top end power.

I had both an X and H on my car. I could really tell when i had the X on, it pulled like a raped ape at around 3500 RPMs. But i lost some low end tq. then i switched to an H pipe, got my low end TQ back big time. But lost a little top end power.

Do what ever sounds good to you, and see what fits your plan better

BTW. BRIANCWS6 has X and 1 chambers in his sig. And i have H and 1 chambers in my sig

SEE BOTH OUR SIGS FOR SOUND CLIPS

I love how my x-pipe sounds. Didn't lose any lowend at all over my catback, and no more 2800 RPM rasp.

the difference between all listed setups is 10 rwhp MAX. In the big picture, that is nothing. IMO go with what YOU think sounds best. might take you a couple setups, but i LOVE the sound of my LT ORY borla.

I personally like the Flowmaster D-port merge that choco posted. I've been looking at that for months but need a clutch first.

Look up jmm98LS1, he has the D-port merge with one chamber flowmasters and his car sounds badass.

For a street car X/H over straight pipes any day. I will be fabbing up my own duals. I would rather have an X pipe because I prefer the way they sound, but most likely I will stick with an H pipe because its so much easier for me to fab on my own.

So a good combination to go with would be kooks long tube headers, x pipe, 2 borla bullet mufflers ending with dual dual borla tips from the catback system i already have???? i have a lowering kit from eibach on there and koni shocks as well. i'm hoping they're adjustable and i can raise it up a bit. what do you guys think?

Just be like me, and put a 21" Dynomax bullet off of each collector... Gives the car such a unique sound.
