need help quick - security in car cut off fuel pump Went out to start up the car in the garage and nothing happens. Next thing I see the security light on. I'm using the key I've been using for 2 years with the remote entry.
What gives and how to fix??

Re: need help quick - security in car cut off fuel pump Go back and check it, the security light should have went off by now. I think it resets in 2 minutes. There could be a few things that cause this.
-faulty chip in key
-BCM hosed
-ground breaking connection in the steering column
The last one was what caused my security light to come on. I bypassed it with a resistor.

Re: need help quick - security in car cut off fuel pump try and clean off the vats sensor on your key, mabey some grease is on it, see if its loose in the key as well. this happend to me a while back and i ended up haveing to get a new keys and key collum replaced by the dealer. or you could trun off the vats with ls1edit.
