Default need help quick - security in car cut off fuel pump

Went out to start up the car in the garage and nothing happens. Next thing I see the security light on. I'm using the key I've been using for 2 years with the remote entry.

What gives and how to fix??

Go back and check it, the security light should have went off by now. I think it resets in 2 minutes. There could be a few things that cause this.
-faulty chip in key
-BCM hosed
-ground breaking connection in the steering column

The last one was what caused my security light to come on. I bypassed it with a resistor.

try and clean off the vats sensor on your key, mabey some grease is on it, see if its loose in the key as well. this happend to me a while back and i ended up haveing to get a new keys and key collum replaced by the dealer. or you could trun off the vats with ls1edit.
