Default Bullet Muffler Placement?

On my slp loudmouth II cat back it places the muffler or bullet right be for it goes over the axle. From the y pipe i have about a 12" pipe then the bullet then the rest of the exhaust. I want to remove my exhaust that goes up and over the axle just because im starting to hate the way it looks "! tips"
any ways i was wondering for sound if it would sound deeper or louder or quiter if i put the bullet after the y pipe then the 12" pipe after

so as my car sits its long tubes, ory, 12" pipe, muffler then over the axle to the tips.

i want to swap spots with the 12" pipe and the muffler. you guys following me?
