i have 3'' H-pipe dumped with 1-chambers at the moment, but when i get my LT's installed and cats taken out, i want to switch to 2.5'' because i need to get it re-run anyway since the shop that did mine left me with hardly any clearance and just didnt do a very good job. would there be anything wrong with fitting the 3'' inlet/outlet diameter mufflers into the 2.5'' pipe? sorry, didnt want to hijack the thread

I have 2.5's w/x-pipe and love them. Dutinsss, using the 3" mufflers would be fine. The 2.5 and 3 inch mufflers are actually the same size. They just have different diameter inlet/outlet flanges welded on. Just use a 3" to 2.5" reducer and demensionally, for clearance issues, it would be the same as just 2.5s.

I have a 98 sahara. 35 inch Toyo MT's. 7 inch Lift. Detroit Locker in rear (it can have its effin own mind sometimes in a corner!) and Detroit True trac in front, all with 4.88 gears Yukons . I still need to get a 4 to 1 transfer case tho. Still only the stock 4 Liter 6 banger tho But i have had that jeep for over 5 years and only have replaced the alternator! 2.5 inch my vote!!

i ran 3.5in on my car over the summer and still ran high 12's

only reason is i got a real good deal on the whole setup off of a 03 cobra and modified it, but for 50 bucks and it was barley used why not.

with the 408 tho i'm redoing the exhaust to 3in and gonna go over the axel instead of dumping it

im a firm believer in 3" true duals, always have always will. i understand the torque aspect, but 3" leave room for possibilities ;D
