Exhaust question

Ok, i am receiving a nice set of 1 3/4 hooker LTs, i have the SLP exhaust on my 01 ws6(i bought it like this not sure if its factory or aftermarket) now i plan on installing the headers when i get them, what y pipe or x pipe would everyone recomend and should i keep my current exhaust or go with something else? and if so what? im workin on a tight budget keep in mind ;D

Its up to you really... Catback or dumped at the axle? just depends on what you want.

the cheapest way find a Y-pipe that matches to the stock SLP exhaust you have. I think TSP carries them. Now IMO i think f-bodies were supposed to have dual exhaust, so something like the TSP true dual would work or a custom system(not so feasible with your budjet probably).

Either way I would do a lot of research and try and be absolutely sure what you like before buying. there are many people on this forum that have purchased 3-5 different exhaust systems before finding the one they like. So I would say find people in your area and listen to their cars along with videos online to help in your choice.

the exhaust on it now is Single in dual out 3" SLP with the 2 tips on each side, i think u guys refer to it as dual dual? i like the sound it has but its not throaty enough for me. i am also considering cut outs, i have about 400$ to spend on exhuast/y pipe

http://www.texas-speed.com go look under 98-02 f body, exhaust...they make both a catback and a true dual system.
