headers and A.I.R. system removal question
will anything be affected if i have air shooting out the tube that used to go to the manifold?
cant i just remove the hoses that used to connect to the manifold and leave it running until i get them tuned out?
when i install my race headers, I was planning to leave my AIR system in until the tune.
My main concern is not to have the SES light on.
Since your in Cali and think you can get away with long tubes then Just get the long tubes "with AIR hookups". NOT RACE headers.
Get the rear o2's deleted by the tuner software HP or Ls1 edit whatever and the AIR pump deleted as well!
Once deleted they will not trip another SES light concerning these components, period.
Then just get a catted Y-pipe. and be done with it, since you dont like the "smell" or the "rasp".
Since your there you can also remove the skip shift from the tranny.
Goodluck

well, my problem is... with the LT's i have, the previous owner removed his AIR system and sawed off where the plates were; and stuck bolts into the holes to make it "race headers".
what im actually asking is, when i install my headers, is it possible to leave
the AIR system in my car with it not connected to the exhaust manifold?
and my main concern (if its even possible) is will my SES light go on due to it not being connected?
