high flow cat or O2 SIMS?

high flow cat or O2 SIMS? Don't laugh at me, but instead of using 2 high-flow cats right after the header collectors, can you just use one 3" cat farther down the y-pipe and put your 2 rear O2 sensors behind it? I figure if I have to spend $100 on O2 sims, I could buy a high-flow cat to use instead and still be emissions legal. Help me out here. I started my car with open headers and OMG it was loud. I'm afraid if I leave the cats off, that it wont be much quieter with my Borla adjustable system. Comments from people with Borla and headers and no cats would be appreciated!
