Default Custom True Duals

Guys I'm making a custom True dual set up. Based on everyones' actual experience, what would be the best combo in pipe size and muffler selection that would be loud enough as to not restrict power (if thats even possible) yet quiet enough so the freakin cops don't harass me. I intend to attach the system to Long tubes, currently catsless, 408 CI.

I don't know how realistic it is to have a quiet yet good sounding system, and still maintain good power( not choking the motor).

If the the best combo robs too much power, I will simply add cut outs.

Opinions wanted ......

^ya that's a good setup. I would do 2.5 inch piping, offroad H pipe, and mufflers of your choice. Sweet thunders, magnaflows, or flowmaster 1chambers would be my choices.

You'll hear a million different answers for this question, but I had Magnaflow 4x9s on my old 3" dual setup and it was awesome. For a straight through design muffler they weren't overwhelmingly load and obviously flow very well. Plus they're stainless. I would strongly consider these mufflers, I think they'll suit your needs perfectly.

I've given it more thought since last night. Let's go with the medium 3" powerpack mufflers.

Here's the universal X kit I was talking about

We're going to need 3 of these
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
one for off each header, one to the X pipe. We'll weld the rest.

3 of these too

Remember the formula of one every 15 minutes

I also sent you a PM

Now buy some damn tires.
