I have one friend who has a C5 intake without the EGR.

will a C5 LS1 intake, swap direct onto a LS6 intaked f-carcar? ie, can i put the C5 LS1 onto a 2001 camaro, and get the LS6 off of the camaro before my other friend trades it in? Just want to make sure the C5 LS1 has the threaded holes for the throttle cable bracket.

As far as I know, fits right on.

 

I believe it is missing the brass insert for the throttle cable bracket. you could just use alonger bolt and nut to secure or try to get the brass insert out of the camaro intake.

 

corvette intake does not have the brass inserts where the throttle bracket bolts up too because c5's use fly by wire technology now. i had to melt mine out of my ls1 intake when i did the switch...needless to say the ls1 intake is now useless lol.
