Ported 5.3 Head Questions
Ported 5.3 Head Questions Looking to buy the following heads, 5.3 heads that are stage 2.5 ported by Vinci racing. intake valves are 2.02 exhaust valves are 1.60, I was wondering if these would be a good set of heads to bolt up and replace my stock 98 ls1 heads with. What kinda compression do you think i will be looking at ruffly? My car is lightly modded and all of the mods are located in my signature. I want to eventually do a mild street cam and maybe a small shot of nitrous 150shot max. In the end i want a pretty stout street machine probably wont ever go forced induction or anything past H/C with bolt ons probably a built tranny and 12bolt rear and suspention ****. If these heads wouldn't be a good match for what im wanting, then what heads would be? Let me know what you guys think! Thanks in advance!

Your budget 5.3 heads are good. For any Mild cam, and it has great results. Compress is normal around your 10.5 to 1. If you want to run some NOS I have a set of Stage 2 Patriot heads 64mm that would give you better results than the 5.3.
