It will have a hard time getting decent scavenging. But it doesnt matter in high rpms.

What is the percentage of time the car spends at the track? If it's like the rest of us it's maybe .5% or once a month or so. So given that the car is a street car you should put together a STREET package. Who cares if you will pick up 5 HP on the top end if you will loose 10 HP on the bottom end in a RPM range that you operate the car in 95% of the time. I've seen way too many Horse Power Heros get blown away on the street by a car with a lot less power but a package that is better thought out for everyday driving and performance on the street.

well a stock LS1 is the perfect example of a package that is well thought out for everyday driving and performance on the street, but I dont see them blowing away that many "Horse Power Heros" on the street.

so lets say you lose 10 at the bottom. You are on it right, because if you are losing 10 it only shows up when you are. So you will soon be in high rpms for the rest of the time. The only time you would be at full throttle at low rpms is if you are pulling a boat. Do you pull a boat with your fbody?

I hafta agree here. I honestly think a 1-3/4" stepped to 1-7/8" header will be all you need.
btw, thats my dyno graph in the previous post. if you notice in that post, the only people going to a header that big are running a 402 or 408. Stock cube cars aren't going any larger than 1-7/8".
