Does anyone have experience with industrial chrome coatings on headers? I've seen some lately with good prices, but I'm not sure about the durability of the chrome.

i would think chrome would not be good for headers, retaining heat...i would stick with ceramic coated headers..good pricing and durable....but then again i haven't seen anything really about chrome headers

 

Chrome seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs. I know it was popular before the ceramic coatings came around. I'm wondering because there is a significant price difference between chrome and ceramic, in the headers I'm considering.

Anyone else?

 

anytime ive seen chrome headers they were on trailer queens that ran for maybe 1minute...As far as I know it will peel off
