If you can afford it, go with the Hooker Stainless headers. My Pacesetters are great but starting to show some rust even with Cali weather. Stainless would be the way to go IMO.

if you can go stainless as tainted said! Its well worth throwing down the extra money in the long run! But pacesetters are a great bang for the buck if you decide to go with those.

You can't go wrong with either choice, and both will give you the same result. I have the coated Pacesetters and have been very satisfied. Installation and fitment was straightforward and they are holding up great. Granted I try not to drive my car in the rain and never during the winter.

Have you looked at the Jet Hot's? I've got those and they are the same design as the Hookers but cheaper.

I have a set of Hooker SuperComps and regret it alot so far. Install was a pain in the *** and am looking at getting a set of Pacesetters. The driver's side mount MUST be unbolted to install the Hookers and if you have poly motor mounts, good luck Pacesetter are the best bang for the buck and heard they changed the design enough so they go right in without unbolting alot especially the motor. Just my opinion though.

And be sure to ease the pain of spending the money on headers, by selling your stock catalytic converters.. there are several guys on here who buy them for around $145.

Here is something else to sway your decision..

How many threads are on the 1st page in this section that say Pacesetter, and how many are about Hooker?

Thanks again for the posts all this info is helpful I think I will purchase the pacesetters to many people like them, i will spend the rest (no stainless) on the cam to get this thing to make some real power 25 yrs ago I had a 75 camaro with LTs 3500 stall and a Crane Fireball cam Duration 300 Lift 465.This ls1 would still bury it.
