I'm thinking of building some solid mounts for my converstion and I'd like to know if there would be any problems. I see alot of people here using them on street cars. I always thought they were meant for race only.

There is no additional noise. The car shakes just a bit more with the motor. If you loosen the rear 2 bolts for the K-member you can get to all of the tranny bolts
.
What are you swapping into??

I beg to differ. My H/C makes a lot of extra noise. It doesn't bother me, but it's there. Listening to CD's is pretty much a thing of the past.

I myself would love to do a solid setup motor does seem to move alot, I read a post about that it takes 5 to 6 hours to do all 3. Is that with a lift or without a lift?

I did my motor mounts on a lift with air tools in about 2.5 hours. It really is not a difficult install. I find myself saying that a lot after I installed mine but it's true. Everyone on here says it's a killer job, which I can understand, but it was really quite easy. Once the alternator and compressor are out of the way they're easy to get to.
