getting a cutout, need some advice

getting a cutout, need some advice Okay, so I have a few questions. I am buying a cutout with a non working electronic valve for $50...pretty good deal. Getting it welded on this weekend (hopefully). But..only one problem. The valve is stuck closed because the guy ran over a puddle. im making up a box with an "electricity (12v) junction source". I know that the cutout will obviously have to have a +,-. But what exactly controls it?
There has to be some kind of signal wire. Im guessing its a 3 wire system...1 ground, and 2 open 12v wires, closed by the switch (for different polarity [allowing the valve to reverse polarities to open and close]).
I was just wondering, does anyone have a wiring diagram they can post up for how many wires are actually "controlling" the valve?
