I take it you are removing your cats? If you just need the SES light to go out so you can pass then yes, it will. If they do a sniffer you would still fail. If you remove them completely instead of gut them you would still fail a visual.

It might but it could be just a bad o2 sensor and they are not that much money to replace them. or it could be that you have a short in the wiring going to the o2 sensor. have you checked that out yet?

The code was specific to one side right? IE, bank 1 or 2? IF it was swap the sensors and see if the code changes to the other side. If it does, you have a bad O2. This way you don't have to buy one without knowing that you need it first

Takes about 10 minutes to do, as long as none of them take too long to get off.

I'm sure you can, you just need a wrench the right size to take it out of the exhaust and then you unplug the sensor and swap them. Pretty simple but if you have an older LS1 (00 down) one of them might be a pain to get to.

I don't believe the codes will clear... like said above, get under the car and swap out the sensors with each other... it's not hard at all... it's as simple as unscrewing, swapping, and screwing back in...

No it will not work to just disconnect the .battery to clear the codes. You are going to have to take it down to your local auto part store and they can clear it for you

Its time to man up and learn to work on your car bud. O2's arent hard to swap at all. I believe they cost about $45ish from an Autozone. All you need is a wrench and some elbow grease.

Yes. disconnect the battery for ten minutes and the SES light will go off and stay off til another code is thrown. I think the codes will still be in the PCM though. not sure about that.
