headers?????
i have a 02 trans am. i wanted to know if it would even be worth putting lt headers on my car since it has been lowered and drags over stuff already. what would be the best kind to get and which y pipe do i need to get
Yup, pacesetters all the way, they should be fine, even on a lowered car. Make sure you get the coated ones, as they will resist rust better than the painted ones. If you have a fat wallet though, get some Kook's stainless ones, then it won't matter if they scrape anyway, cause they won't rust. For the record, I have scraped my headers/y-pipe on my stock height car a couple of times, but it's very rare, you hafta be at a pretty steep angle to do it.
If you want SS steel you can get Hookers. I have seen them and they tuck up nice. There is a set here waitin to go on and I am lowered too. TByrne is one of our sponsers and has'em for about 5 bills.
I love my kooks headers, i scrub every now and then on speed bumps and my car is super low, and i got x-pipe w/ true duals cut off at axle, my car so low in front my front tires tuck in a little bit, and only scrub on speed bumps or really low dips, no other problems, get the kooks
Since you are lowered, dont get QTP's as they're Y-Pipe is low as hell and no matter what you do to adjust it, it will still scrape. That also rules out the True Duals option too. So that leaves Kooks and ARH- both stainless and the y pipe tucks up tight as hell, or you can get some pacesetters but get the coated ones. Good luck.

my LPP headers tuck up high, never have hit them yet, the lowest point on the car is my dual cutouts. i scrape those everyonce in awhile but not often. they are stainless as well so no worries about rust. id just get a custom y-pipe made whichever route you go, that way you can maximize ground clearance

yeah i was just wondering the same thing. even when i had my stock springs a coke can wouldnt fit anywhere under my car.
pacesetters are the way to go. ive seen a few lowered cars with different types of headers and the pacesetters by far provide the best ground clearance.

LTs are illegal in all states.... but it just depends where you are ...some smog guys dont check .... but if you live in California your almost screwed
