They look good for the money. Just by looking at them I think your going to have trouble with clearance on the Y though if your car is lowered at all. And IMO you shouldn't run it much without a tune. But that's just me. It may seem to run ok but if it's really rich at idle it will damage the rings and you will also end up with gas in the oil. Yes alot of people do it and it will run for a while but it's definately not good for it. And it will likely set the ses light soon because it knows it needs to adjust beyond it's LTFT and STFT limitations. If your going to be doing cam and tune in the near future why not go ahead and do it all at the same time.

to answer some of your Q's your stock gaskets will work fine, car wont run like **** without the rear o2's but will without the fronts (though i didnt try) you will need either extensions or the longer vette 02's... you only need sims for the rear two if the ses light bothers you that much otherwise a tuner will delete those codes for you... and i'm surprised no one mentioned when you get the stock manifolds out do yourself a huge favor and throw in some polly motor mounts dont be like me and spend 12hrs. trying to change them with headers in the way one month after I installed them cuz my y was banging like a *****! and set aside lots of time ...my header install with a lift took me and two friends 6-7 hrs...

I got my O2 extensions from WS6store at a good price and they arrived within 2 days of ordering. --->

They also sell motor mounts, band clamps and sims if you still need them (I only got my O2 extensions from them).

24 inch extensions will work you just need to ziptie them off since they are kind of long

A 12" for RH and 24" for LH is sufficient for most LT header applications. However, the RH header may come close enough to the 12" extension to melt the plastic conduit. This is why we sell the 24" in a pair. This offers more room to route the extension away from the header. Either way you want to zip tie them away so the plastic conduit wont melt.

foreverzero if these headers are the exact ones you will be getting they wont work because the LT heads have a rectangular shaped exhaust outlet. these are round and are made for the LS motors. you can see the different shaped exhaust ports in a jegs or summit magazine

??

He's got a 2002 SS - that comes with an LS1, and the headers he ordered are for an LS1, as you state. Why do you think they won't fit on his LT1, when he has an '02?
