X pipe + TD's = best power. H pipe +TD's = best sound. TD = a little more power over good Y and catback. Drawbacks are more $$$ and less ground clearance especially an issue if you are lowered. A cutout + Y setup can bridge the gap and give you the most HP when you want it so consider that also.

its all an opinion. i would say the best is an H, because i care more about the sound more than a little more power in the top end. i've never compared H vs. X in terms of power, but i wouldn't think it would be that noticable

you can easily run duals with an x or h pipe and either dump it at the axle or out before the rear tires...
ive heard that an x-pipe is beter and it fits well in the drive shaft valley giving a little more clearance but i have no proof of which is better.

all in all true duals are a possibility and definatly flow better than a y-pipe system

Does the Texas Speed True Dual setup fit pretty well? I have a UMI TA and the MAC Y pipe rattles like crazy on it and I would like to get something that would have clearence around that when I get LTs.

Im about to put LTs on and was wondering what I need to do a side exit infront of the rear tire? I didnt want to use cats. It will all be done with custom pipe. Do I still need an X or H pipe? Any help please

yes, its always better to have a connecting pipe, whether it be X or H

Its worth it. I had duals without a crossover pipe at first. just had an H put in it and its a totally different sound. Get a crossover.
