Did I read that right? six months to get these headers? I hope they can make them a little faster by the time I order headers or I'll not even consider these. I'll wait six months while I save money for headers but I won't wait another six after that to get them delivered.

Other then that they sound pretty nice.

I don't think any individuals were waiting 6 months, I think it was vendors who were waiting for the release, which was backed up a couple times.

I just got the headers in today. The edelbrock headers are awesome. The install went well. THey are by far the easyist headers to install(compared to macs, hookers, slp setups I helped install). The headers come from edelbrock with o2 harness extenders, plus etc. The one only bad thing for you guys the emissions legal headers is that you have drill and weld the air and egr flanges. Also there is no o2 sensor bung allready pre welded so you have to cut and weld.Tomorrow tuesday I will get the full true duals welded up with dynomax ultra flow welded mufflers.

So just for clarification, the headers come with the O2 bungs, AIR, and EGR fittings but they are not installed?
You will have to have the holes drilled and these items welded on.
Did you have yours coated?

Thanks

John

JNorris you are correct the fitting are not on the headers. No I did not coat them but sandblasted them and painted them with high temp paint. Currently the car is at the exhaust shop getting true duals. Will post track times sat after I go to the track.

This is not a flame post I am sincerelly curious.

Now you say they are easier to install than Hookers, but they are same tube design as the Hookers. So my question is where did you notice a difference between the two? I had figured that the Hookers being a non-step header with a smaller collector would be easier to install

Well for not having a lift and the bottom of the car aabout 1 1/2 off the ground. The headers are a piece of cake because the collectors come off and you can easily move and manipulate them to go into place. But I put a set of hookers on that on the driver side we had to take the steering linkage off in order for the header to go on. Overall the install was the easist I've done by far.
