Default Question about under intake coolant lines

I am in the process of putting my engine back together and was going to go ahead and get the new coolant lines. So here is my question, I have a 98 with the lines running from the right head, front and back and in the rear. The ones off the 01 and 02 have just the plugs in the rear, can I run the plugs or should I do what it shows on LS1howto.com and run two front lines so the intake clears? I guess my main concern would be why are there plugs on the back and would it affect anything by running them?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I was just curious about the coolant system setup from 98-00 and 01 to 02.

Thanks for any info on this

Just get the rear plugs and you'll be fine.
