Default going from stock to bullets, need help

Okay i orderd a dynomax bullet with plans on putting it in the I pipe and then getting rid of the stock muffler. My question is, what do I need to do to keep dual exits with equal flow?
Everything is stock exhaust wise, so do I need a y pipe to go from the I to the rear? I need some help quick so I can tell the guy at the exhaust shop what to do.
Also, he's trying to talk me out of the bullet in favor of some flowmaster muffler, but I really dont want flowmaster at all. I know it will sound good, but wont the bullet be louder, give more power, and sound decent too? thanks

you'll need some kind of Y to split the single pipe into 2.

flowmaster sells one, or you could make one. maybe even take a regular cutout and remove the flange...

the single dynomax will give good power, but it will rasp in the top end probably.

its basically a dynomouth exhaust.

stay away from the flowmaster...they aren't all they're cracked up to be

thanks for the reply, especially so quickly. I found this: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...59589_-1_11525 and sorry for it not being a sponsor or anything but its just for reference. I am referring to the 3"in 3"out y at the bottom of the page.

I figure i could just flip it and use it for exiting and weld up the rest of the stock exhaust to that. Plus, without the muffler there I can get a nice and shiny diff cover on the back and have an excuse to change the fluid in there. will this work?(the y pipe, not the diff cover)

don't see why not...may not flow the best in the world...but it shouldn't be bad.

i would get the 3" single, 2.5" dual unit....

the tailpipes on the stock system are 2.5"

make sure you sand all the old stuff down and paint it...a nice flat black exhaust paint makes it all blend in nice.

check my page out in the sig...bottom of page 2. i ran a single bullet behind the axle, tucked up under the trunk with a turndown. painted it black and it was almost invisible except the sound!!! especially after the cam

actually...i just happen to have my page open...so here's the pic

i would just do a turndown and not worry about the exits, but i just got some real nice corsa clones from a member on here, slt200mph, and I have a ws6 so theres the slots for tips. Other than that I would probably just run a bullet and dump it wherever.

this is what i would do, have them put the dynomax bullet in the i pipe, then where the pipe is going over the axle into the factory muffler, weld that pipe into the exit of the bullet, then just cut the factory muffler off, and your muffler shop should be able to custom a y pipe to split it off. kinda like, just a short straight pipe to hook on the pipe going over the axle for the right side of car, then a long L shape pipe to connect to run over to the left side of the car. sorry if it confusing, you muffler shop wont charge much for this.
