Default Whats the difference?

I am not sure of the specs on either the Fast 90 or the ls6 intakes. What are the specs and with my setup am I crazy to think about the ls6? I am running 2000 T/A with the Prc stage 2.5 5.3l heads with ms3 cam. I put down 420hp 360tq on a mustang.

The Fast 90 is a really expensive setup for a couple of horses over the ls6. I think you should be fine with the ls6. You could use the extra money for a nitrous setup or something else.

Is there a need to get a bigger throttle body or is that marginal gains too?

Most of the people around here have just gotten a ported TB. I had pretty good gains with a Shaner S3 TB and FTRA. Along with the LS6 intake you should see a considerable increase because you've already done heads and cam. LS6 and ported TB and you will be set!

If you are still running the LS1 intake just get a LS6 intake and port your stock throttle body.

If you are looking for every last hp out of the car you can opt for the fast/90 combo but it will be much for expensive.

As mentioned the FAST 90mm intake and a 90mm Throttle body (required since your stocker will not work with the FAST intake) are expensive. However since you're putting down some serious power then you're going to see some nice gains stepping up to the 90/90. I would say anywhere from 10-25RWHP based on your setup and whether or not you retune it afterwards. If you're on the LS1 intake still then the LS6 will also show decent gains but not like the 90/90 will.

I had the same H/C package as you and I put a FAST 90/90 on it. Let me tell you the car pulled even harder up top than it did with the LS6 intake. It was an unbelieveable difference

A stock LS6 flows about 265cfm and an unported FAST about 275. Ported a FAST will flow + or - 285cfm. A bigger cam will move more air and be better able to take advantage of the difference. As 2002/Z28 stated you will definitely feel a difference between a FAST and LS6 with your setup. And I will add you will also feel a difference between an LS6 and LS1. The question you have to answer: is 20-30 hp (ported} worth the $$$ between a LS6 and FAST. At the least pick up an LS6 for $325 off of the classifieds here. Thats what I did and will see if I am happy where I am after my H/C swap. If not I'll put my LS6 on the board and get my $325 back and upgrade to a FAST 90/90

The feel often is attributed to throttle response from the TB

If you have a ls6 send it off to tpis and have them make it a 90mm for 300 or so and get a 90 tb for 500 you save abot $500 with close to same results with the fast, thats what I did now if I had the ls1 intake I'd just spend the cash on a FAST.
