With a 4.8 L, you are nowhere near the potential of the truck manifold, even with ported heads and a bigger cam. The truck manifold outperforms the LS1 manifold for an engine of that displacement. If you were doing a conversion putting the 4.8 into a car with a low hood line, that would be a different motovation and a different story.
