Default is it worth it?

im looking into getting an slp lid and i found a used one on here for 100 shipped w/ the bellow and was wondering if that was worth it.
also a used slp y pipe to go with my lm1 for 100 shipped also. it was on the car for a year and a half and has no dents.

ya i just saw that ad, the lid alone is just about 100 new, so if its in good shape its definitely worth it. i have the slp lid and love it. wish i could find the bellow real cheap. the y pipe is for the stock manifolds im guessing. i dont know much about that, but im guessing it would flow better than stock so you would have some increase.

Lid maybe, y-pipe no. If you plan on doing headers later on then it would be a waste to get the y-pipe.

Use your stock bellow and purchase a new slp lid for less than $100. I think I paid $92 for mine brand new.

Yeah I heard that the smooth belows cause some fitment issues as well. I got my new SLP lid for $93 shipped to me. If the lid is in really good shape then it would probably be worth it. I personally wouldn't waste my time with the y-pipe though. I started out with a lid as well. You can see where that lead me. Now I have a cam on the way as well. Good luck with whatever you decide though.

Although the smooth bellow is cosmetic more than performance, it does look a hell of a lot better than the stock accordian type piece. And when they are trimmed right there are no fitment issues at all. .

I got a very nice used SLP lid, bellow, and K&N for $50... If you want to save, Id say look around.
