My only question is i have my exhaust dumped right now, angled to the sides but not to much. Lets say i slip the resonators on but don't point them down, so basically they are pointed towards the pumpkin. Would all the heat thats not going downwards cause any problems? I know with cutouts the exhaust just comes out, so i was just wondering will that cook anything under the car since the resonators will be pointed straight rather than dumped with the outlet pointing towards the ground?

I know that they were straight pipes, i knew what i was getting into. I had the loud mouth on my car when i first bought it. But that was prior to the LT headers, i wanted something as close to straight pipes. But to atleast know that i have something there, i guess just to say incase i get pulle dover that i can say i have mufflers and cats. Even though the mufflers will be obviously resonators and my cats are gutted.

it maybe straight through with no baffels or packing, but it does goes from 3" to 4" and back down to 3". this will create something similar to an echo effect and resonate the sound (hints the name "resonator"). it will also change the tone a little bit. i have a friend with LM1 on his 01 WS6 with cats and a stock Y-pipe and we took the resonator off and put it back on while the car was running to see if the difference. yes, it did change the tone and made it a little louder.

it shouldn't hurt anything but it might increase the temp of your diff fluid which could cause the fluid to break down a little sooner then usual. as long as you change you diff fluid regularly(however many miles GM recomends) you should be ok. it will be fine to drive for a while, but you might want to get some turndown tips just to keep unwanted heat off the rearend. you can get turndown tips for dirt cheap that you weld or clamp on. i think O'rielly's has them for a couple of bucks.

Wow the car sounds abolutely amazing, at idle you can really hear the 113 LSA of the magic stick 3. I was going to get a vid but the weather got pretty bad, and it started to rain pretty good when i finished. Hopefully the weather is good enough tomorrow to get a few clips.

Well i got a short video, hopefully it gives you guys a good idea. I tried putting together a few vids with Windows Movie Maker, but when i would save it, it would be saved as a file that youtube doesn't accept. This is a short 43sec. vid of me revving it and letting it idle a bit. The siren you hear is my neighbors alarm on her BMW 5 series going crazy.

When I finish my formula I'm going to run long tubes with 3 inch duals (X pipe) all the way out the back with no cats or mufflers. It should be loud, but keep it from being obnoxious in the cabin.

Actually i had never heard the alarm of a 5 series before, so when i first heard it i was like WTF is that. Then when i got out that i glanced in that direction i realized it was the car. My neighbors are actually happy that i am unemployed, since before when i was working i would turn on my car to leave at 630am. I'll try to get a fly-by vid, i was going to the other day, but my brother wasn't home. I liked the my sweet thunders also, when i first got them. But soon they were just not loud enough for me, and the resonators were the next best thing.

Pacesetters, TD's, no cats and moroso spiral flows for reference:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NbnkAgLhKno&feature=related

Plenty loud, sound great (not obnoxious) while cruising and the mufflers are cheap
