Default when to ditch stock intake?

okay, so it will definitely be awhile (if i even do) until i do get heads/cam and i was just wondering when the stock intake would needed to be replaced. i have an '01 car (ls6 intake)...does it just depend on the heads/cam combo? if i were to end up doing h/c, i would probably go pretty aggressive.

sorry if im so vague, and thanks in advance!

For a stock car a ls6 is the best intake you can have, your all set.

If you spin the engine past 6700 and make over 400 I would start looking at the Fast 90. I know guys that make killer power and still have the ls6 intake.

1000 bucks for a 90mm intake and TB are money that should be spent after a heads and cam package if you are wanting the absolute most out of it.

for a 1000 bucks you could add some juice and make way more power.

Well when you are ready to drop $1000 for 15 HP or after heads and cam and every other bolt on.

Ls6 intake is all you need for now. Now unless you plan on making around 500 or better then think about an upgrade. Even then ls6 intake does the job
