Default cutout question

i just got my 3inch exhaust cutout ..can you wells a 3 inch cutout into 2.75 inch exhaust pipes because im pretty sure my pipes are 2.75..

Yes you can. In fact, it is easier to do. The 3 in cutout slides right over the stock 2.75" pipe and can be welded very easily. I had this done on my 95 Z28 and my 99 Z28. Worked very well. You will enjoy the sound. Good luck man.

how do you like the sound with the cutout open with the pacesetter LT and ory ..thats what i am installing in the next week or so

I get some rasp in the midrange RPM's. Nothing too bad. I actually really enjoy the overall sound. It sounds great to me at WOT. I keep it uncapped most of the time because going through my catback the car is dead quiet and I like to be kinda loud. I am getting ready to do a cam swap here this spring and that might be a little loud with the cutout open. I am also installing an electric cutout motor so I can play with the sound a little more .
