Default T55's over TR6

I realize that most people use tr6's for forced induction or nitrous applications but would it hurt power to stick with the tr6's over a set of tr55's, if your not running a power adder? What makes one over the other better? this is a friends car and he has bought so many diffrent plugs in the last 2 months its crazy (he's been going back and fourth between nitrous and N/A. Now he's going big cam N/A). Last time he had it tuned it was with tr6's and he picked up another 10 rwhp with the plug swap and more tunning (more than likely in the tune though).
Thanks

The rule I have used is that if its over 11:1 cr on a NA motor you can get away with Tr6s. He may have to keep an eye on them in cold weather if he is right along the 11:1 boarder. it would depend on the tune

I ran TR6s in my cam only Z28 and it ran like a champ. Then it ran even better once it was sprayed

I have Tr6's and i never spray my car because of the clutch. It seems to run fine with them. It runs the same as when i had my tr55's

I added TR6s when i installed my cam, because my intentions were to spray. But since i am probably going to stay all motor, i'll probably go back to TR55s. Either way my car runs fine with TR6s and no spray.

Hmm, my buddy knows his stuff pretty good and he says maybe a loss of a couple ponies maybe 2-5whp nothing major.
I have ran the 55 and 6's and I haven't noticed a difference. I hit a 12.9 with 55's and 6's.

IMHO, I don't think it would hurt power. TR6's are good plugs, as are TR55's. Shouldn't be any power loss.

But if he picked up 10RWHP with them and a tune, hell, I'd just leave them in.
