Default True Dual Exhaust Question

I'm still not sure yet whether I want to use a cat-back system or true duals. I plan on eventually installing a head/cam package and perhaps a supercharger and I don't want to install a cat-back system now and then change to true duals later. Do any of you have true duals and if so what was involved and what was the cost. I'd probably only have a set up like this if it was stainless steel also. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

TD's here, 2 1/2", X pipe and under axle, really good tuck job, with little 3" tips. Mufflers are "Blue Streak" bullet style, they are relativley quiet at idle and cruise, but wake up nicely WOT. Cost was $600 at a local custom shop.

Go duals, and good-luck.

FLP Headers + 12 inch collectors + X-Pipe + Spintech muffers equal more horsepower and torque across the board. Done by Lane's in Dallas. Call for price. I was not disappointed. Cheers.....

I'm in the process of making True duals now. Since I have access to a welder at work, I figured I'd give it a shot myself. I'm using two Dynomax bullets (24222) and possibly a crossover pipe if I have room. I though about doing a catback, but if you get a catback, you still need a hi flow y-pipe and/or ORP's, and you still don't have as much airflow as you would with true duals...not worth it IMO. The whole 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust system is just bad engineering on GM's part - I say correct it now
