no oil pressure

Default no oil pressure

putting the motor back together i noticed i have no oil pressure. could i have broke the oil pressure sending unit? what is the purpose of this thing and will the oil still curculate without it?

Id def make sure its working. If you took the oil pick up tube off the pump the o ring can be pinched too...

The oil pressure sending units are very easily broken. Also the factory ones are more of a dummy light. If you buy a new one you will noticed your pressure gauge will fluctuate more than it used to. You can pick them up at autozone pretty cheap. Try this first and see if your problem is solved, if not then move on from there. Also like said if you messed with the oil pump your problem could be with it.

would a broken sending unit cause the motor to leak oil from it?

it means its not sealing, if its not functioning thats internal, as far as i know.....
