get the polished professional products intake. That sucker looks bad and from every thing I have heard it performs well. You can get the polished one on ebay with fuel rails and every thing for unde $500 That the way I'm gonna go. Mainly because I like the way it looks.

I have a 408 w. bbk intake, home ported 241s, TSP Torquer v.2 cam that put down 465/482 to rear wheels. Have always wondered if the FAST would do better. Its a lot of money to find out especially if it only gains minimal or no horsepower. I wish someone would do a honest dyno comparison of the 2.

maybe a member that lives close to you can let you try the fast out and see how it does. all i can think about is the old school guys sitting in the staging lanes with a bag of ice on the intake.

I would vote Ls6 just because of the sleeper fact.

if you have an ls6 I would just keep it. I didnt have an intake so I went with BBK. supposed to outflow LS6 just a bit, its aluminum so it can handle a nitrous backfire better than the compsite would. Heatsoak is really not that bad and nothing to worry about. Personally I think there are to many retards out there that believe everything they read on the internet and blow things out of proportion when they really have no clue what there talking about.

i have been wondering about all this myself since i have the stock LS1 intake and am looking to upgrade, i like the idea of the fast intakes but there price is rediculous for what you get, but i think i want something other than the LS6, dunno, guess i'll keep doing more research

With the FAST 92 coming out I wonder if the for sale boards will have more 90's at better prices.

I'd imagine a little price drop, but I mean there really isn't much wear and tear with an intake..

Sometime around then.. I've emailed a couple of people in regards of that and they never gave me a set date, just somewhere in there..

That's what I'm waiting for..

ok.. to kinda sorta stamp out one of your arguments.. ive witnessed 4 nitrous backfires in my lifetime.. all of them on aluminum intakes. 3 of the intakes were completely obliterated, two of them so severe they sent the hood flying a solid 30-40 yards from the car. the other just blew chunks out. the ONE n20 backfire that did not kill the intake was one of my jackass friends playin with his nitrous button in the driveway.. went to start the car about 20 minutes later and it bent the throttle blade on his TB beyond all repair.. it was quite funny and gave us both a hell of a rush

anyhow, my point.. the nitrous backfire thing is kind of a mute point, as per MY personal experience. as you can tell from my post count im new here.. but thats only because ive been playin with mustangs all my life.. (my F body is the first chevrolet in my family EVER) we make tons of power with aluminum intakes... though the aluminum one will hold in heat, i cant say that its worth that much especially at high engine speeds when there is little time for heat transfer.. again just my .02 intuitively the polymer is better.. but the very definition of intuition is something like feelings based on emotion or impulse rather than actual fact, just because it makes more sense (to you, in your own mind)

many of the coolest things done with cars came from questioning the "be all end all" modifications that everyone clamored about

yes im one of the "old school" guys that puts ice on my intake while im waitin to run.. even though i started doin that when i was 17? guess i learned by example
