Default How do you powder coat a FAST 90?

Are there any extra steps you have to do to powdercoat one of these. I'm doing my buddy's and cannot afford to **** it up...... seriously, I can't afford it. Do you just sand, clean, coat, bake like normal? I'm guessing that since they attach to the heads they can withstand 400 degrees in the oven. Any help will be appreciated!

Only some types of plastics/composites can be powdercoated, and only a select few shops can do them. It requires a special low-temp powder (only around 200F I think), and the prep work is something you would want the shop to do.

I'm not sure if you're attempting this yourself with a homemade powdercoating kit, but if you are, DONT!

I powdercoat for fun, but I am not sure how to do plastics. It would be nice to know how its done. The only way painting it would look better then PC is with a professional Base-coat clear coat. Powdercoat also holds up much better then paint. Unpainted/PC'd FAST intakes look like *** for one, and second not everyone wants people to know they run the FAST intake either. To the OP if you happen to find out how it is done and the info isn't passed onto this thread please PM me with the info!

I wish FAST would make a black intake so you don't have to paint it. Looks good, atleast now I know it can be done and look good as well
