I removing the AIR on my 02 firehawk. I need to know if i need to remove the valve on the back of the intake that the air hoses go into, and if so how do you remove it? I looked in the stickies but i did not see anything about the valve.

are you talking about the skinny line that plugs into the tee fitting on the back?
you can just use a vacuum plug for the tee.

I dont seem to have the tee fitting. The tube from the pumb goes in to some valve and the tubes going to the manifolds comes out of it. it also has two vacume lines that go into it.

if you are talking about the skinny semi hard line
that goes to the back of the intake, under the MAP sensor

on my car there was a tee, one end goes to the valve
for the AIR and one goes to the interior.
there is a check valve you can just cap, on the fender there is a sticker
with the check valve and the emissions stuff.

i ended up taking the tee off and connecting the
line to the interior directly to it.
hope this helps.

I am actualy talking about the larger piece with bracket that is in the picture. But I am guessing I can just remove it now and plug the vacuum lines.
