Default Help with upgrades please

Hi everyone, I have a 98 Trans Am Convertible. Its blue with a tan top. Its 100% stock. I want to start upgrading, not ridiculously, but at least bolt-ons. I wanted some input on exhaust and headers. I also wanted to get the WS9 hood. I'm not in the business of spending $1000s because I'm still in college.

I was thinking about getting magnaflow exhaust, any pros/cons? I wanted it to be kind of loud but not ridiculous.

As far as headers go, I looked up some on e-bay and was interested in these
Ebay Headers Option 1
or these
Ebay Headers Option 2
Any advice one way or the ther about those? (I definitely want to keep the car 100% street legal.)

Also, I was planning on getting a high-flow cat like the SLP one.
Any other advice I could get? Thanks everyone!

The long tubes would have to be fitted to hook up to the stock y pipe. Shorties are reallt not worth the work or money unless you live in Cali. I would spend alittle more and get a pacesetter or flowtech longtube and y-pipe set up at least. maybe about 500-550 shipped but a quality header no doubt, and you can hook it up to the stock exhaust for now. Im in college to so I know what you mean when it comes to savin money.

Personally your going to get what you pay for. KOOKS is by far the best IMO. I would stay away from SLP but thats just me. Get Kooks 1 3/4 street legal headers with a catted y-pipe and a Borla or Corsa cat-back exhuast. The headers won't bolt right up to the stock y pipe. Its always good to buy the y-pipe with the headers. This will be a more expensive way of going about it but it'll look, perform and sound fantastic. I would just tell you to get the headers and TSP True duals but you want to keep it street legal. Anyway good luck!
