Default Deleting ac/heat question

I pulled the ac and ordered my ac delete panel. I am going to pull everything out including the heat because in all reality I never have used either. The car stays in the garage most of the time and doesn't really get used except for the race track and very nice weather. So here's my question:

There are two hoses coming out of the water pump and running into the interior through the firewall. These, I am assuming are the supply line/return line for the heat. When I pull everything out can I simply get a 5" or so piece of hose and just connect the two outlet's on the water pump together? Will this solve my problem?

Thanks!
