exhaust/maf/160 stat question..
exhaust/maf/160 stat question.. ok...I'm thinking of removing the cats on my 02'z28 or just putting a cut out on it or both?Can anybody tell me any performance gains from any of these mods.....As of now I'm in the bottom 11's thru stock exhaust and stock fuel pump.

If I port the stock maf will the computer make up for the extra air or will it lean out?
does the 160 stat really help keep detonation away?

Re: exhaust/maf/160 stat question.. Removing or gutting the cats wont really impress you unless you get some headers. On stock manifolds, the gains may be minimal at best. Now, headers and an off-road pipe...yeah boy!! A cutout got me 17 RWHP through stock exhaust manifolds. You be the judge. It's loud and obnoxious but some people like that noise. It was a gain across the board for me.
