header sizes

what exactly is when you need to step up to 1 7/8 headers. how much hp. mods in the sig. plan on running prc 2.5 5.3l heads also. or something very similar. buying new headers regardless cause the slps just hang to low for my dd. kooks or qtp. going to run the bassani true duals real soon and want to just change the headers when i do. what size recommended will tell me which i will buy. also was thinking bout the kooks stepped headers. any feedback would be nice.

bigger inches. stock displacement? 1-3/4 are perfect.

1 7/8 is a little too big for a 346. youll lose some noticeable low-end torque which is really where the fun comes from, so 1 3/4 QTP's will be fine
