what's the second cable?

i noticed that the throttle body cam on my 2000 trans am has two cables going to it. obviously one's to open the throttle blade but what's the other one for? i look at pics of other people's cars and i only see the one.

cruise control on the cars that don't have traction control

The other cable is your cruise control. If you had traction control, you would only have 1 cable going to the tb.

Cruise control.

It was an option, so some cars don't have it.

Interesting. What cars came without cruise control? Just the 1LEs? Like every LS1 I've ever seen had cruise, but I don't recall paying attention on a 1LE.

Don't hold me to it...pretty sure there was some cars that came without it though, just not sure which ones. Probably the 1LE if anything.
