Ported TB Issue
Ported TB Issue I got my throttle Ported and now it sticks a little bit and doesnt idle very well...so I pulled off the maf sensor and cleaned the tb out a little bit...but when i took off my tps sensor this little metal ring came out and it was all bent does anyone know what that is and where i can get another one?
Was the ring about 7/16" in diameter and have 2 small holes at the ends? It sounds like the snap ring that retains the throttle shaft came off. Take it back to whoever ported it and make them fix it. Or you could try the HELP! section of a local parts store.
I have ported many and never did put that ring back on. You don't need it. I would say the reason the TB is sticking is because they didn't get the blade centered. Take the two screws loose for the blade and snap the throttle open and shut a few times and then tighten the screws again.
