Default LS6 PVC Fix

Is it true that the PCV valve is different in the LS6 than the LS1? Some of the Camaros at the Sherrif's dept. are having oil consumption issues and I recommended a PCV fix. Figuring that the "LS6 Fix" was the most straight-forward way, I had the parts man look for an LS6 pcv, but the guy at the local chevy dealership said that the two engines share a common pcv

Anyone know the GM part # for the LS6 PCV if it exists? I'd like to do something more than just the vertical mod, and the full on SMH mod w/fuel filters is a little more modifcation than I'd like. TIA

The PCV valve itself is the same. Its where it sucks air from is different. The Ls1 sucks from the valve covers, while the LS6 sucks from the under the intake manifold.

ah-ha...so what PCV are people using with a "smaller orifice" that would supposedly limit oil flow into the intake?

the small orafice PCV valve is the 'new' truck PCV valve. I believe it part #12572717. It has the small open orafice versus the floating ball inside.
