18HP with ZO6 MAF??
So I'm looking for parts on LS1 Speed and come across the ZO6 Maf. Anyone have this? do you need LS1 edit to recalibrate your tables and whatnot? 18 HP seems like alot compared to other mods. Oh and how about the SMooth Bellows from SLP? Any word there?

The smooth bellows may be worth 1-3 depending on the car. As far as the ZO6 MAF giving 18 hp, I can't say as I have never tried that one but most MAFS are worth only half that on a dyno.

If it really gave you 18hp, wouldn't you think everyone would have it? I know I would. Out of the box you might get a couple HP, tuning may be needed. Cars react differently to MAF sensors. Some will get large gains, some will lose many HP, some will throw codes. It's a gamble really. If you have some way to tune, go for it, but personally I would spend some money on other stuff first.

Z06 MAF worth 18hp?
Not unless their is a serious tuning issue, the MAF accidently corrects. 5-8rwhp is realistic if the car responds to a different MAF.
SLP 85mm MAF = 6rwhp on my car. Descreening the stock one would probably do about as well.
Did the 02 cars have the LS6 MAF?
Bellows 1-3rwhp, I really doubt that on bolt on car.

Any gains you get will be because the meter (if not calibrated) is reporting less air than is actually going in the engine. This causing a slightly leaner condition. You can make slightly more power lean, but risk more knock and blowing the engine. Same goes with descreened stock maf or ported mafs.

'02's have the same stock MAF.
I gain 1.5 mph after changing to the Pace LS-6 vv MAF.
Also 5 of my friend have this same MAF and have gain close to the same as my car.

Re: 18HP with ZO6 MAF??
My car with the SLP 6.0L MAF didnt make much of a difference than the stocker. Both have been descreened. I think to see a noticible difference one needs to go with a lid, 85mm MAF, ported tb, and tuning. I bet all of those are worth close to 30rwhp.
