Yes. The LS6 style valley cover is an improvment, but the only way to insure no oil into the intake & is with a good designed catch can plumbed correctly. You do NOT want any open hoses venting which allow dirt & moisture to be sucked directly into the engine.

I'm having the same problem after my LS6 intake install on my 98 TA. Would a catch can be the solution to this issue? I'm pretty sure the last owner of this car rigged a filter into the PVC line, and now its pitch black. I'd like to clean up the entire bay.

How many colors you guys offer? Can you guys affix a sight glass level deal on the side of it? Thanks.

i just did mine today i will say it was/is a nice piece and easy to install. For ppl who have LS6 intakes and valley cover and who don't kno where the can goes; here it is: Look for the hose that is at the top left hand side of your TB, notice how it runs to a port on the passenger side valve cover. Right above that hose is another plastic hose that has rubber around it. There is an opening in the rubber (that is where the plastic hose part connects clips to the top of the intake). If you follow that line you will see it runs into a connector that connects directly to the intake. All your doing is cutting that plastic line and plumbing the can in between it (cut 2" before the connector).

When i took the connector apart i did notice some oil. I notice even a little more when i put on my new TB; you may want to spary some Deep Creep in there as well to clean it up. drove the car about 100 miles this weekend after the can install since the car sat all winter and i checked the hose and didn't see any oil in it...yet. Like i said i have the LS6 setup so i might not have as much oil blow-by (but i still have some); any little biut helps tho. I look at it as cheap insurance on a motor with 88K miles on it. I don't kno how to do it on a LS1 intake car b/c mine had the LS6 one. I'll try to post some detailed pics, but all i have is a camera phone and i dunno how well they will turn out.

If anyone has any issues/question just ask TLewis4095; he has been very hekpful. The only thing i would suggest they do differently is to make the pictures a little bigger on the directions and have them coinside with the step by step directions. Also; include a 3" hose for people who didn't decide to use the oil cap breather. Other then that it is a kick *** product w/ great customer service!!!

Just for the record guys if you didn't already know, you must have a ls6 valley cover. I have about a inch full of oil in my catch can in between oil changes.

I am definitely getting one, looks like a great product. I like the tube down the center, that is an improvement over all the others. Should I do an LS1 to LS6 pcv conversion or keep it as is and use the catch can? What is the price for a catch can with shipping? I know you had them for a low price earlier this year any chance of that happening again? I also plan on using the valve cover breather. Thanks Art...
