Default Recieved my KOOKs headers today!

UPS man brought my headers to the door this morning and woke me up. It only took a week and 2 days to get them since I ordered these bad boys, KOOKs is awesome . Anyone got any tips for the install? I'm going to do at my buddies garage on a lift. I need o2 simulatrors, (rear only), the paper gaskets are junk. I'll either reuse stock ones if I can or buy new ones from the dealer. Can't wait to fire her up and go for a test drive.

Tips. Never use the gaskets they use. Been there done that and then spent time replacing it. Pull the 4 engine mount bolts on the drivers side, jack up the engine and push like hell. Thread the rear header bolt with a gasket into the block. Then just slip the rear of the header onto it. Don't do the very front bolt next but instead do the one right before it.

Thanks a bunch, does anybody happen to have an LS1 LT Header install how to? I'd like to check it out, how long did it take you all? I'm on limited time, probably just friday night, saturday and sunday. Sounds like a lot of time but there are always hangups/frustration/anger . How much are the gaskets from GM?

Most LS1 headers come with oem header gaskets.

Did you get these from Brent at TEA?

KOOKs includes paper ones, which I'd rather not use. Yeah I did buy them from Brent actually. I got in on the GP TEA had going. The total price for 1 3/4" Stainless steel headers with AIR, and the 3" Y pipe with cats was $1270 shipped. Probably have to wait till next weekend to install em.

Whats the problem with their gaskets??? These kinds of gaskets have been used for years and no problems.
