Default Quick question about cut-outs..

I have Hooker LT's, ORP, and Loudmouth. I am probably going to get a cut-out or two. Most people are telling me that it would show some improvements in performance.

My questions are...

Is it worth it?
Should I do dual cut-outs?
And if so... should I do electric b/c I have Eibach Sportlines... and I don't know how easy they would be to cap and uncap?
Also, what size.. 2.5" or 3"... or bigger?

Thanks

It depends on how loud you want it. And where its fesible to put them. Id for sure get an electronic one, laying on the ground to uncap it sucks. I think QTP has some pis of dual cut outs on thier web page. I have one in my I-pipe and when i get rid of the macs I think im going to get two.

Can I put dual electric cut-outs right after the headers... right after the collectors?

I'd get one 3" cutout and put it in the I-pipe facing slightly down at a 45* angle toward the road. It'll keep interior vibrations down. FWIW, I gained 17 RWHP from uncapping through stock manifolds.

don't waste your money buying electric cut outs, be a man and lie on the ground for 30 seconds and unscrew a few wing nuts, no big deal

With the setup you have. You wont see any performance gain. It will just make car louder then what it already is, i wouldnt mess with a cutout or the integrity of the ORP. Most people that use cutout's havent removed there cats and need to pass emmsions. Just my 2 cents.

I would definitely get a cutout. It shows improvement at the track especially with a c or with a h and c car. Also, it shows improvement with a stock car as a general rule. Whether you get an electric one or not, that is your personal preference and price of the part. If you like performance, I can't see how you could go wrong with this mod. I had one and now I have true dual exhausts. Cheers...

I love my QTP electric cuttout. A single one in the Y-pipe works great.
